Deputy ambassador Michalski takes in the Kashubian embroidery class held at George Vanier School in Combermere during his one-day, whirlwind tour of the Wilno, Barry’s Bay, Combermere region last week. Sickness kept the guest of honour,  the new Polish ambassador to Canada, Zenon Kosiniak-Kamysz away away but that only means the Wilno Heritage Society gets to give its grand tour once more.
 
Bonnechere Valley resident Doyne Ahern was honoured by the Bernadette McCann House on International Women’s Day for the difference she makes in her community. The chair of the local library board also volunteers with Literacy Plus and Valley Festival to make a difference in her adopted home.
 
Johanna Dwyer of Douglas is one of several entertainers performing during intermissions at this year’s Irish play presented by the Knights of Columbus Dramatic Club of Pembroke which is presenting Quiet Weekend on March 15, 16 and 17 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Pembroke. The director of the three-act comedy is Muriel Verch and the musical director is Joan Hewitt, both of Rankin. The play was presented to the residents of Miramichi Lodge on Sunday.

3. THE EGANVILLE LEADER will not send unsolicited email to its users. Nor will the use of cookies by THE EGANVILLE LEADER result in a THE EGANVILLE LEADER user receiving unsolicited email from THE EGANVILLE LEADER or its advertisers. THE EGANVILLE LEADER will not supply email addresses to any third party without having obtained the consent of a user.

4. When THE EGANVILLE LEADER asks its users to supply optional, personal information for contests, survey, e-commerce applications, or for any other purpose, that information will remain private and not be shared with any outside agency, advertiser or third party unless the user was made aware of this possibility prior to submitting their personal information.

5. THE EGANVILLE LEADER will compile site-wide demographic information that it will share with advertisers, but it will not compile profiles of individual users, including the gathering of names, addresses, email addresses and other personal information, to be shared with an advertiser unless the user has consented to the compilation of this material and submitted it freely in a registration form or survey.

6. THE EGANVILLE LEADER tracks user IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration, demographic profiling and traffic logging, but THE EGANVILLE LEADER will not use IP addresses to try to identify individual users of THE EGANVILLE LEADER.

7. THE EGANVILLE LEADER will abide by all court orders, valid search warrants and subpoenas.
